Нагрудный Знак "Excellent cook"

Instituted by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on July 8, 1943.

Badge awarded to privates and junior officers of the Quartermaster Corps of the Red Army, systematically showing the highest examples: perfectly cooked delicious variety of food in a combat situation; careful maintenance and savings in combat materiel field kitchen and personal weapons;

Also, military cooks awarded for valuable inventive and innovative proposals for improving the quality of cooking.

The badges were made on Commissariat of Railways's mechanical stamping plant, enamel factory of Moscow Comradeship of Artist, Moscow factory "Pobeda" and also produced in the GDR for reparations.
